Wow, is it possibly a new post on Kelly's blog? Why yes it is! And why, you may ask, are you being subjected to this? Well, because it's 3:30 a.m. in the morning and I'm stuck at work. I've been here since 5:30 p.m. yesterday, and I have been to every non-blocked site on the internet. So as it turns out, my site is on the cul-de-sac of the information super highway.
So, what's been going on with me? As perplexing as it may be, babies take up a LOT of time. Alex is a ton of fun though, and I wouldn't trade a minute of it. Unfortunately he got his father's eyesight, so we had to put him in glasses at 14 months old. He seems to be lacking the fear/self-preservation gene, yet he has an extra hyperactivity gene. The combination makes for a good cardio workout for me and Christal. At first, given my vast experience with kids, I assumed he was normal. But this past weekend we met some friends of ours at the park with their son Colin, who is 4 months older than Alex. Alex seemed to resemble a super bouncy ball compared to Colin, who just stood there looking at Alex like "What is wrong with this kid?" He also seems to have somehow combined my A.D.D. with Christal's O.C.D., which means he's incredibly anal about whatever it was he was just doing. I'd post pictures of him, but they're all on Smugmug which is of course blocked by "The Man". You can take my word for it though, he's actually the cutest baby ever.
Since my last blog post, which I believe was sometime in 1842, I've actually got our basement into a somewhat livable condition. The walls and ceiling are finished and painted, the electrical work is done, the carpet is down, the ceramic tile is laid, the pool table is set up, the TV/blu ray/Wii is functional, the fridge is plugged in, and the toilet works. Sure, we're still missing things like trim and a bathroom door, but you can't be too picky. I mean, come on, the TV works and the pool table is set up!
